A rare event, indeed! A LIVE ON STAGE performance of Led Zeppelin’s concert event, “The Song Remains the Same” (1976). An elite group of island musicians will present – in its entirety, song for song, track for track – this classic concert / revered album which was originally recorded over several nights at Madison Square Gardens in New York during the summer of 1973. Originally recorded as a concert film, it premiered three years later on 20 October 1976 and was followed-up by a soundtrack album of the same name.
Join top tier players Aron Scott bringing Jimmy Page’s searing and emotionally charged guitar to life, Stéphane bouchard recreating the enormous power of John Paul Jones’ bass prowess, Maxwell Gallant stepping into the role carved by groove-monster John Bonham and Carrie MacLellan delivering the heart-pounding and cutting edge vocals of Robert Plant. All of these players have been a part of Stairway to Zeppelin shows held at the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre in recent years.
