Highland Storm offers an exhilarating night of Celtic music and dance.
It showcases stunning displays from Highland and step dancers and breathtaking sounds from the pipes and drums. Add in the haunting melodies of traditional songs and the fiery passion of the fiddle, and you have a genuinely authentic and moving experience.
The show transports the audience back over 250 years to a pivotal time in PEI’s history. Three ships—the Annabella, the Edinburgh, and the Falmouth—arrived carrying families from Scotland to a new land. These families came with little more than the clothes on their backs, facing the daunting challenge of clearing land, cutting wood, and building homes to survive the harsh winters of PEI.
What was that first year like for these early settlers? Highland Storm brings that story to life. It was performed by The College of Piping’s instructors and students and featured fiddler Gilbert Arsenault and vocalist Christine Gallant. Directed by Peter Gallant, this powerful and evocative performance captures the essence of the Scots’ journey to PEI.
Prepare for an unforgettable experience—Highland Storm is a show you don’t want to miss!
