Tightrope is a powerful blues trio playing incredibly high-energy Texas-Style blues. Its members are Remi Arsenault, Danny MacNevin and Yves Arsenault.
Rémi Arsenault has been a prominent side and session musician in the PEI music scene for over 20 years. He picked up bass, drums and guitar before he was 10 years old, growing up in a very musical family that is well known for its cultural contributions to the French-Acadian music scene on the Island and beyond. He has toured North America and Europe numerous times with artists such as Natalie Macmaster, Donnell Leahy, Vishten, Catherine Maclellan, Coig, Fayo, Dominique Dupuis, An Acoustic Sin and many more.
Danny MacNevin, born and raised in Summerside started on drums at a very young age, then migrated to guitar and by age 15 was playing and singing in various local bands. He toured Canada with Maxine MacLeod and Randy J. Martin throughout most of the 90’s before settling into the local scene where he’s shared the stage with many talented musicians. He Takes inspiration from his heroes such as SRV, Hendrix, the 3 Kings and many more and combines that with some country chicken Pickin to create a unique approach to the blues.
The duo cut their teeth playing weekly at O’Shea’s Pub and have since built a catalogue of over 1,000 songs, spanning nearly every genre imaginable. While they’re comfortable covering anything from classic rock to country or modern hits, their true home is in the raw, soulful energy of groovy, blues-driven roots rock.
Together, Roland and Adam have played countless events across PEI, building a reputation for versatility, musicianship, and an unmistakable chemistry on stage. They’re now excited to bring that spirit to the annual Blues Summit, where they’ll open for Summerside’s own Tightrope.
