Saltwater Dollies
The Salt Water Dollies are a heritage-inspired folk duo from Prince Edward Island, celebrating the rich traditions of Celtic and Acadian music through their vibrant performances. Keelin Wedge, a founding member, is a renowned multi-instrumentalist celebrated as a master fiddler and a creative virtuoso of all things stringed. She hails from a French Acadian family that was among the first to settle in western Prince Edward Island, giving her a deep love for traditional Acadian fiddle tunes. Keelin is also part of the award-winning Fiddlers Sons, known for her exceptional musicality and dynamic stage presence. Christine, a talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, comes from a French Acadian family in the Evangeline region of PEI. She also possesses Scottish heritage from her father’s side, which inspires her love for traditional Scottish tunes. Her compelling vocals and extensive performance history across Island stages have earned her widespread praise. Their music is a heartfelt tribute to their Celtic and Acadian roots, blending historic melodies with a contemporary spirit. Currently, the Salt Water Dollies are working on their debut album—a collection they hope will leave a lasting impression and make an unforgettable mark on the folk music scene.
