DESCRIPTION:WINTER SHINE SERIES \nAward winning Island folk music group Fiddlers’ Sons will bring their mix of Island music and stories to Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre Thursday\, February 12 at 7:30pm. Fiddlers’ Sons features singer-songwriter and local author Eddy Quinn\, songwriter and guitarist John B. Webster\, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Keelin Wedge\, along with fiddler\, Fiona MacCorquodale. The group has performed across the Island and beyond for close to thirty years\, and they host the popular Close to the Ground concert series every summer. Together they play a mix of traditional Island music and lively tunes\, blended with original songs and stories about Island life.

But by the end of February\, it’s high time to throw those doors open and get out for a spirited night. Join comedian Patrick Ledwell and musician Mark Haines at the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre\, for a show celebrating Islanders and the qualities that help us live\, drive\, and survive\, all year round. “Winter Shine with Ledwell and  Haines” runs one night only\, Friday\, February 20 at the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre in Summerside. “As Islanders\, we start to go a little stir-crazy by the end of February\,” says Ledwell. “Let’s get friends out together\, good drink in hand\, and host a foot-stomping night of entertainment.” Patrick and Mark established a PEI tradition with “The Island Summer Review\,” which played for 10 sold-out seasons at Harmony House in Hunter River. “This will be a night when we stack up all our favorite selections. DESCRIPTION:WINTER SHINE SERIES \n2 Great Acts in ONE NIGHT! \nSaltwater Dollies \nThe Salt Water Dollies are a heritage-inspired folk duo from Prince Edward Island\, celebrating the rich traditions of Celtic and Acadian music through their vibrant performances. Keelin Wedge\, a founding member\, is a renowned multi-instrumentalist celebrated as a master fiddler and a creative virtuoso of all things stringed. She hails from a French Acadian family that was among the first to settle in western Prince Edward Island\, giving her a deep love for traditional Acadian fiddle tunes. Keelin is also part of the award-winning Fiddlers Sons\, known for her exceptional musicality and dynamic stage presence. Christine\, a talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist\, comes from a French Acadian family in the Evangeline region of PEI. She also possesses Scottish heritage from her father’s side\, which inspires her love for traditional Scottish tunes. Her compelling vocals and extensive performance history across Island stages have earned her widespread praise. Their music is a heartfelt tribute to their Celtic and Acadian roots\, blending historic melodies with a contemporary spirit. Currently\, the Salt Water Dollies are working on their debut album—a collection they hope will leave a lasting impression and make an unforgettable mark on the folk music scene. \nRémi Arsenault / Caroline Bernard and Family \nCaroline Bernard et Rémi Arsenault\, deux musiciens\, auteures\, compositeurs et multi-instrumentalistes sont très bien connus à l’Î.-P.-É. Ensemble\, ils harmonisent leur amour de la musique avec leurs 3 fils\, Riel\, Benoît et Maxime. Riel et Benoît\, deux jeunes\, multi-instrumentalistes\, âgés de 15 ans et 12 ans\, se présentent sur la scène\, avec leurs parents\, depuis un très jeune âge. Maxime\, qui a 6 ans\, les accompagne aussi. Cette famille\, de la région Évangeline\, démontre une énergie et une passion pour la musique de tous les styles. \nCaroline Bernard and Rémi Arsenault\, two musicians\, singer-songwriters\, and multi-instrumentalists\, are well-known on PEl. Together\, they share their love of music with their three sons\, Riel\, Benoît and Maxime. Riel and Benoît\, two young multi-instrumentalists\, aged 15 and 12\, have been performing on stage with their parents since a very young age. Maxime\, who is 6\, also accompanies them. This family\, from the Evangeline region\, demonstrates energy and a passion for music of all styles.
